Jeff is a graduate of the Esther Boyer College of Music and Dance at Temple University, where he majored in music education as both an undergraduate and graduate student. He graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Music in music education with a trombone concentration, and again in 2013 with a Master of Music in music education.
At Temple, Jeff was a member of the Diamond Marching Band for 4 years, two of which he served as a trombone section leader, and one as a field tech. He played in the Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Lab Jazz Band, Basketball Band, and Collegiate Band. As a graduate student, Jeff was a teaching assistant for the bands department, conducting and helping to organize and and direct the Marching Band, Basketball Band, Collegiate Band, Wind Ensemble, and Campus Community Band.
In the fall of 2009, Jeff tryed out for Broad Street Line--Temple's only all-male a cappella group--on a whim at the start of his senior year. After making the group, his singing experience and confidence vastly improved, to the point where he became one of the group's primary arrangers and vocal percussionists. The following summer, Jeff auditioned for Project Philly--a community a cappella group formed by Lower Merion High School Music Director Josh Hunnex--and was accepted into that group as well. Since then, Jeff has arranged over 55 a cappella songs (and counting) for all male, all female, and co-ed a cappella groups. His arrangements are also listed on betteracappella.com.
Jeff is a graduate of Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, PA, and has lived in the Philadelphia area all his life. He is also an amateur sound recorder and engineer and has experience with Pro Tools. Jeff is an avid Philadelphia, and general, sports fan and a budding beer aficionado. He also knows more about Star Wars than any human being rightly should.
